Background in technology and writing
Education: equivalent of 7 A-levels at secondary school, BSc in mechanical engineering.
After that, a range of additional training and courses at reputable institutes in communication, commerce, marketing, languages, writing and knowledge transfer, amoung others.
The road to technical communication
After the start as a technical-commercial project engineer, a gradual shift into marketing and communication followed. Employers were consultancy companies as well as industrial manufacturers in the metal and building industry. Posts as proposal engineer, project leader and product trainer led to a lot of experience in investigating and describing technical subjects. This resulted in an all-round technical communication specialism which has proved to be the perfect background for the independent company Entecst since 2003.
